Each cake is a different price. Things that affect the price are the size of the cake or number of people it will feed, the ingredients or recipe you choose, and of course the level of decor on your cake. A small cake with little balls around each layer and little people sitting on every level can be as pricey as a much larger cake with fresh flowers and ribbon supplied by the bride. Please email with your general idea - either a picture of a cake you would like or a description including how many people you would like to feed and general colors or themes for your party. Of course you want an idea on price though don't you? At 2010 ingredient costs, a three tier simple wedding cake is $400 dollars and a fun carved cake to feed 20 people starts at $75.00.

When you are certain you would like to have a Cake by Sheri at your next occasion, I require a 50% deposit to begin designing and baking your cake. Customers usually pay their deposit two to four weeks prior to their event. The other half of the fee is payable when I drop off your cake. Select dates in the summer can book up quickly, therefore in your pre-wedding planning you can secure your date with a $20.00 non-refundable advance booking fee. (5 months ahead or more) Aside from assuring I am available on your selected day, this is an excellent way to have a custom designed cake created just for you. I am happy to let you know if the date is available, and give you a price of course without a deposit, however the $20 paypal is required if you are wanting to have a 15 email back and forth chat about what you cake will look like - consider it a consultation. I simply do not have time to design cakes I'll never make.

I would love to meet any prospective client and accept a deposit in person, cash or cheque. However if you find it more convenient you can pay by interac email money transfer through your own online banking site, or pay by credit card with paypal. Final payments are cash only when the cake is presented.
