Working with fondant is easy and fun, with the right tools, you can learn if this is your new hobby, or you can simply wow a loved one with a cake you created specially for them.
You Bring: A picture of a ONE LAYER cake you want to make. You also pre-specify to me ahead of time what shape and flavour of cake you would like baked for you.
I provide: EVERYTHING. Starting with a proper canvas is crucial. You can't put fondant on a betty crocker rectangle and expect perfection. You'll be given a frozen cake to work with and you'll learn how to base buttercreme ice it, how to mix color into fondant, how to roll and place fondant, and general tips on what kind of fondant to use including sneek peeks at making your own fondant. On day two you come back to the iced cake you left in my extra cake fridge, and begin decorating it. You may learn how to make a rose, or use letter presses, or make a small character. You'll also learn how to place fondant decorations on and make them stick on the cake.
